Clare Julia Hawe, born 10 February 1976, is an English actress. After beginning her career in a number of literary adaptations, including Our Mutual Friend (1998) and Tipping the Velvet (2002), Hawes rose to fame for her portrayal of Zoe Reynolds in the BBC series Spooks (2002-2004) and was which was followed by her performance as co-lead as DI Alex Drake in Ashes to Ashes (2008-2010). Her roles as DI Lindsay Denton in Jed Mercurio’s Line of Duty (2014-2016), and Julia Montague in BBC One’s Bodyguard (2018) are not without merit. Hawes is a three-time nominee for the BAFTA TV Award. She was nominated for the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress for roles as Lindsay Denton, Julia Montague, and Julia Montague, as well as an award from the British Academy Television Award as Best Supporting Actress (2016-2019). Hawes also acted in the ITV drama Honour (2021) as well as the comedy-drama Finding Alice (2021), where she played the role as Patricia Neal. She also has provided the voice for Lara Croft in Tomb Raider video games, including Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tomb Raider: Underworld, and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
