Jeanne Crain, an American actress, brought breath of fresh air into the studios of '20th Century Fox' through her stunning beauty. Fox commissioned her to work in 23 films and worked with many others. She appeared in sixty-four films. Her hair was pretty brunette with an aura of modesty that appealed to anyone who came in contact with her. She was a typical '20th Century Fox' girl that had a less impressive list of stars than other major studios. Jeanne was kept busy by Fox and made at an average two bright and breezy films each year for them. Sometimes she was perceived by Fox as lacking the weight for the roles they needed, and she was passed over in favour of other famous actors like Susan Hayward and Jean Simmons. However she was a major star in a number of the biggest films in the 1950s and 1940s. Her appeal prompted servicemen to recall their high school lovers or their sisters. In popularity, she was second to June Allyson and received an Oscar nomination for her film "Pinky". In her real life she was a normal woman who had to take time off from her busy acting schedule in order to care for her seven children.
