Lennox Claudius Lewis CBE (born 2 September 1965) is a boxing commentator as well as a ex-professional boxer who competed from 1989 to 2003. He is a three-time world heavyweight champion, a two-time lineal champion, and the last heavyweight to hold the undisputed title. Dual Canadian and British citizenship, Lewis was an amateur representative for Canada in both the 1984 and 1988 Olympics. He won a gold medal for the super-heavyweight class after defeating Riddick bowe in the final. Lewis also won numerous regional titles for heavyweights during the beginning of his time as a professional. He won his 21 first fights and was able to beat Donovan Ruddock in 1992, to claim the top spot on the WBC rankings. In the following year, he was named WBC heavyweight champion following Riddick had to quit the title to not defend the title against Lewis. He defended his title three times before suffering an unexpected knockout loss to Oliver McCall in 1994. Lewis took revenge in a 1997 rematch to win back the vacant WBC title.
