Calvin Broadus, also known as Snoop Dogg is an American rapper who was also a TV personality and is one of the most well-known figures in gangsta Rap during the 1990s. While he's earned a lot of praise for his singing, Snoop has also appeared in a variety of films and TV dramas throughout his career. He was born in the United States and enjoyed singing and rapping from a young age. But, he was arrested several times for drug possession in his teens before deciding to pursue seriously a career in hip-hop. In the end, his talents were recognized by the renowned producer and rapper Dr. Dre, and his debut album, 'Doggystyle' was released. It opened him up to the music industry. Singles such as "Who Am I (What’s My Name)" and "Gin and Juice" helped him become a household name. He also had songs like "Who Are I (What's My Name)" as well as "Gin and Juice". His laid-back attitude earned him the status of a legend in the gangster rap scene of the 1990s. Through the years he has continued to enjoy his success by releasing numerous smash albums, including "The Doggyfather," "No Limit Top Dogg' and 'R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta) The Masterpiece' and "Doggumentary". Snoop has appeared in numerous films throughout his career, and was a frequent guest on numerous television shows. Snoop was also accused of numerous criminal acts throughout his life but was later cleared. An exemplary artist, his music and trouble with the law keep him in the headlines ever since the beginning of his career.
