 Wendy Williams found success as a radio DJ and host through delving into her personal life, touching difficult subjects. In 2008, the Wendy Williams Show was launched. Her unique tone resonated with viewers. Williams was admitted into the National Radio Hall of Fame that year, though she soon retired from radio to focus on TV.Wendy Joan Williams was born on the 18th of July 1964, in Asbury Park, New Jersey. From the beginning, Williams stood out. Williams was one of three children of Thomas and Shirley Williams. She moved with her family from Asbury Park at age five to Ocean Township, New Jersey. This was very different from her older sister Wanda, who was a straight-A scholar and was enrolled at Tufts University when she turned 16.
