Adrienne Jo Barbeau is an American actor and writer famous for her performances on the sitcom Maude (1972) and in horror movies, specifically the ones directed by John Carpenter, with whom she once got married. Born on the 11th of June 1945, in Sacramento (California) She is the daughter of an Mobil Oil Company executive. At the beginning of her career, she starred in The Fog (1978), Someone's Looking at Me! (1978), The Fog (1980) and Escape from New York (1981) all John Carpenter-related productions. She has worked with George A. Romero on occasion, such as Stephen King's anthology Creepshow (1982) and Two Evil Eyes (1990). She also collaborated with directors of horror, for instance Wes Craven's Swamp Thing about a superhero monster. In the 90s she was most well-known for providing the voice of Catwoman in Batman: The Animated Series (1992). She was the original tough-girl Betty Rizzo in the first Broadway production of "Grease". She is also the writer of "There are Worse Things I Can Do" (2006) as well as the comic vampire romance novel "Vampyres of Hollywood", "Love Bites," (2010) and "Make Me Dead." (2015).
