Bleta "Bebe" Rexha was born August 30, 1989, in Brooklyn, New York City, New York and raised in Staten Island, New York City, New York to Bukurije Rexha (nee Isai) & Flamur Rexha. Her father came to the U.S. at the age of 21. Blete, which is Albanian, means "bee". She said that her parents were Albanian and that people began to call her Bebe. "After signing with Warner Bros. Records in 2013, Rexha received songwriting credits on Eminem and Rihanna's single "The Monster" (which was later awarded the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Performance) and has contributed songwriting to tracks recorded by Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas. Rexha released her debut extended play in the year 2015, I Don't Wanna Grow Up. The play saw the moderate commercial success of the single "I'm Gonna Show You Crazy".Rexha released two more extended plays in 2017: All Your Fault Pt. 1, and All Your Fault, Pt. 2 that saw moderate success with the singles "I Got You (Dance With Somebody)," and "The The Way I Am (Dance With Somebody),". Rexha also enjoyed success in a number of collaborations, including "Me, Myself and I" with G-Eazy, Martin Garrix' "In the Name of Love" and "Meant to be" with Florida Georgia Line.
