Beyonce is an incredibly multifaceted star. She gained notoriety in the latter part of 1990s when she was the lead singer of the pop-R&B band Destiny's Child. The following decade saw her embark on her own multiplatinum solo career, beginning through Dangerously In Love (2003). This was her first solo album that was followed by a string unbroken number one pop singles. Chart-topping singles such as "Crazy in Love" (2003), "Irreplaceable" (2006) and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (2008), combined with sold-out world tours as well as Grammy Awards, all heightened her profile in the decade of 2000. Billboard called her the most popular female artist of the decade. The RIAA recognized that she was the decade’s most popular artist, with 64 gold and platinum certifications. After Beyonce dropped her self-titled album (2013) and it became clear that the superstar singer, songwriter, and dancer was not just an entertainer, but an innovative artist too. This was confirmed through Lemonade (2016) as well as Jay-Z's collaboration Everything Is Love (2018) and her work on The Lion King (2019). Beyonce expanded the latter project with the executive creation of the film's soundtrack The Lion King: The Gift as well as the script and directed the musical film Black Is King (2020). With the Top 20 hit "Break My Soul", Beyonce launched her seventh studio album, Renaissance (2022).
