Britney Spears

 Britney Jean Spears was conceived in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood. Britney was an avid dancer in her youth and was a winner of numerous gymnastics contests. Britney enjoys singing and dance, but more importantly, she enjoyed dance classes. Britney was 8 years old when she applied to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however, her young age led to her being denied. This led her to an off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", for two years as the main character. She was back for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), this time playing an actual mouseketeer. The biggest break for her, however, came after she was signed as Jive Recording Artist in the latter part of the 1990s. Britney's debut album"Baby one more time" "...Baby one more time" was released in 1999. Britney went on to become a global star and sold 13,000,000 copies of "Baby" and 9 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again". Britney also has her big brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. At a very young age, Britney was always fixing to be a star , and with idols such as Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney could always be heard singing, no matter the other events going on around her. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) after taking vocal and dance lessons.
