Cassidy Freeman is an American musician and performer. She's a Spanish major in theater and began her professional career as a casting director for a theater group. Cassidy also branched out into acting and made her debut in short films. Despite her initial film appearances she gained acclaim in TV with her roles. Cassidy started out with TV films, and later played a character in an episode of a CBS series. She was then offered the role of 'Tess Mercer" in the 'Smallville' series. The role earned Cassidy numerous awards as she was later offered other roles in shows like 'CSI The Playboy Club,' 'The Vampire Diaries NCIS, Stitchers', and NCIS: New Orleans.' She also appeared in prominent roles in 'Longmire' and Doubt.' Cassidy is also a prolific musician. Cassidy sings in the rock group she created along with her brother. Cassidy is associated to the charities "Heal the Bay and the Virginia Avenue Project.
