Cate Blanchett

 Cate Blanchett was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on May 14, 1969 through June (Gamble) she was she was an Australian teacher, property developer, and Robert DeWitt Blanchett, Jr. is an American advertising executive originally from Texas. She is the younger sister of an older brother and younger sister. At the age of ten, old, her 40-year-old father passed away due to an unintentional heart attack. Her mother passed away suddenly due to sudden heart attacks when she was 10. Her adoption was by her grandmother in order to help her mother. When she graduated from NIDA, she joined the Sydney Theatre Company's production of Caryl Churchill's "Top Girls", then played Felice Bauer, the bride, in Tim Daly's "Kafka Dances" and was awarded the 1993 Newcomer Award of the Sydney Theatre Critics Circle for her performance. Blanchett then moved on to play the role of Carol in David Mamet’s eloquent political play "Oleanna".
