Chancelor Johnathan Bennett is an American hip-hop musician popular for his rap songs. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Bennett was a singer with a love of singing since a young age. He wanted to be a musician, even though his father wanted him to have an entry-level white collar job. Bennett started his own hip-hop group named "Instrumentality" along with a friend. Bennett was an avid fan of soul and jazz, and it was Kanye West’s debut album "The College Dropout" which sparked his interest in hip-hop. Bennett was determined to make music an occupation, despite his academic pursuits. Although he released a few singles and mixtapes, it was his mixtape 2 , 'Acid Rap' that launched his career. Bennett's professional graph grew further when he released his third mixtape, 'Coloring Book, that earned three nominations for Grammy Awards. It also became the first album that was exclusively streaming to earn the coveted 'Grammy. Bennett has also collaborated with other musicians, besides his solo ventures. He collaborated with the lead vocalist of the band 'The social Experiment in the making of a popular album titled 'Surf.
