After meeting DJ Clue, Envy became a fixture on New York's hip-hop radio. in the early 1990s. Frequently putting out mixtapes, Envy rose up the ranks swiftly, and by the time the 2000s began, Envy was peddling the latest exclusives and freestyles by famous rappers such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and LOX.
