Elisabeth Moss

 Elisabeth Singleton Moss is an American film, television, and stage actress. Her performances on television's The West Wing (and "Mad Men") are among her most famous. Born in Los Angeles, California, to musician parents who were musicians, she was raised to become a performer and professional dancer. Then she moved to New York City to train as a ballet dancer and took classes in the same. Then she was able to secure acting opportunities and learned to combine work and education from a very young age. She graduated earlier than the majority of her peers due to the fact that she was educated at home. She also played in a variety of roles on film and television. She appeared in seven seasons of the television political drama 'The Western Wing' in which she played the role of the daughter of the president. Her other major role was that of 'Peggy Olson' in the series of 'AMC "Mad Men.' She was awarded the 'Golden Globe' Award for her performance on the miniseries'Top Of the Lake' in 2014. In her role as the handmaid in the 'The Handmaid's Tale, she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress.
