Eric Marlon Bishop is better well-known as Jamie Foxx. He is an actor, comedian and radio host, producer and musician. He was a very skilled youngster in school and took part in a variety of activities. His talent for music was evident as early as the time he started playing the piano at the tender age of five. He was also a top-ranking student, and was skilled in playing sports such as basketball and football. As a teenager the singer also joined an orchestra and was frequently praised for his ability to make classmates laugh. Prior to attempting acting, he embarked on a comedy career. Due to his sporting background, he was picked to play the role of a player in the movie 'Any Given Sunday'. Film roles continued to come his way and he reached the peak of his acting career with his performance in the biopic "Ray" for which he was awarded an 'Academy Award' and 'BAFTA Award.' He is a Grammy-winning actor and musician. He has released five albums, out of which two have been awarded platinum status. His brushes with the law and his insensitive comments regarding other artists have brought some controversy.
