Joseph Adam Jonas, popularly known as Joe Jonas, is a popular actor and singer who gained fame as a member of the pop-rock group Jonas Brothers. He is also known for his roles in a couple of original movies and television shows on the Disney Channel. He formed the Jonas Brothers Band in 2005 together with his brothers, Nicholas Nick Jerry Jonas II, and Paul Kevin Jonas II. After they gained some recognition through their music, they became even more famous through some of their appearances on the Disney Channel TV Network. They were featured in Camp Rock, a Disney Channel Original Movie in 2008, as well as the sequel Camp Rock 2. The group is also known for its philanthropic activities. In 2007, they earned $12 million in 2007, they donated 10% of the proceeds to Change for the Children Foundation. The group has been awarded a variety of important awards, including the American Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards. In 2011, Joe Jonas released a solo album called Fastlife. It was a modest commercial success. Although it ranked at 15 on the US Billboard 200 in its first week of release, it soon fell off the chart. Following the split of the Jonas Brothers in the 2010s, Joe formed a new band named DNCE and released their debut single Cake by the Ocean in 2015. In 2019 the Jonas Brothers made a comeback and released their 5th studio album, Happiness Begins. It topped the US Billboard 200.
