Kate Capshaw

 Kate Capshaw is an American actress who rose to fame due to her part in the action-adventure film "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom'. The film was directed by the famous Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg. Her most notable works include "Dreamscape", "Power", as well as "Black Rain". After her appearance in Indiana Jones, she was cast in many movies and starred opposite Richard Gere. Indiana Jones also paved her way into meeting her current husband Steven Spielberg. She was previously engaged to Robert Capshaw. The couple broke up in 1980 when their marriage fell apart. Steven Spielberg and Kate have seven children. She left the film industry in her 40s, and began to do charity work.Kate Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, to Beverley Sue (Simon) who was a beautician and travel agent and Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee. Capshaw worked as a teacher who had an MA in Learning Disabilities. She wanted to be an actress , so she relocated to New York to land a role in the soap The Edge of Night (1956). She met her husband, Steven Spielberg while beating out 120 actresses to be the female lead in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984).
