Marilyn Monroe

 Marilyn Monroe was an American actor, comedian, actress and model. Marilyn Monroe became one of the world's most enduring iconic figures and is revered both for her winsome embodiment of the Hollywood sexual symbol as well as her tragic professional and personal struggles in the world of film. Her death and life remain the subject of much debate as well as speculation.She was born as Norma Jeane Mortenson at the Los Angeles County Hospital on June 1 1926. Gladys Pearl (Monroe), her mother was born in Piedras Nagras, Coahuila to American parents who came from Indiana, Missouri. She was also a film-cutter at Consolidated Film Industries. Marilyn's biological father was established through DNA testing as Charles Stanley Gifford, who was born in Newport, Rhode Island, to a family that had deep roots within the state. Gladys was a foster mother, placed Marilyn with The Bolenders because Gladys was not able financially or mentally to provide for her. While the Bolender family was keen to adopt Marilyn, Gladys was eventually able to stabilize her lifestyle and was able to take Marilyn back to her care when Marilyn was seven years old. Gladys suffered a severe mental breakdown just after she was granted the custody of Marilyn. She was later diagnosed with schizophrenia and was sent to a mental hospital. Gladys was confined for her entire life between hospitals and had no contact with young Marilyn. Marilyn was an actress in Hollywood as an adult.
