American streamer and professional E-Sports player Tyler Blevins, more commonly known as his online name "Ninja" was born in Grayslake, Illinois, to Chuck and Cynthia Blevins. He was a part of the film A Gamer's Life (2016) as himself.It was his father, Chuck Blevins who introduced him to video games. Ninja started playing Halo 3 professionally in 2009. He was a part of various teams including Cloud9, Renegades, Team Liquid and Luminosity Gaming.Ninja began streaming in 2011, initially using Justin.tv, then moved to Twitch.tv. He started playing H1Z1 in the start of its early access program with Steam before moving to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds when it also entered Steam's early access program. In 2017 He joined Luminosity Gaming as a Halo player. He later switched to H1Z1, and then to PUBG. In PUBG, He won the PUBG Gamescom Invitational for the 3rd Person Squads category. He started streaming Fortnite regularly and his viewership began to grow and grew with Fortnite's growing popularity. In September of 2017, there were 500,000 fans following him; in six months, that number grew by 250 percent
