Ray J

 Ray J was born William Raymond Norwood, Jr. He was born in McComb, Mississippi. He grew up in Carson, California. He began appearing in TV commercials at age eight and auditioned for them. In 1995, he signed by Elektra Records. The next year, he released Everything You'd Ever Wanted. "Let It go" was included in the Set It Off soundtrack. Brandy also made an appearance on the soundtrack. Gladys Knight's song "Missing You", with Tamia and Chaka Khan, peaked at 25th position. It reached number 25 in the U.S. and the number 11 spot in New Zealand. The second single peaked at 54 on the U.S. R&B chart. In 1997, he appeared in a television special with his sister Brandy but was dropped from the label. Bradley Torreano, allmusic says that producers at Brandy's liked his easygoing appearance and his youthful appearance. He was given an appearance on the UPN's 1999 series as D-Money, Brandy's little cousin. He composed, and put the music together for numerous commercials and a few of the music demos for his second recor
