Rob Dyrdek, a 16-year-old professional athlete who chased his childhood goals with fervor, eventually went on to become a successful businessman prior to when most people had even entered college. Dyrdek was raised in a community of entrepreneurs and quickly learned how important it was to build brands. At the age of 18 He utilised that experience to start the first company.This "outlier" experience helped to build and develop both his brands and increase the value of his brand partners since he was rapidly becoming an famous professional skateboarder. He helped to transform an expanding footwear and apparel company into an international $500 million business by leveraging his influence. The same skills were used to develop skate brands later on in his career, launching the world's first true professional skateboarding league Street League Skateboarding and a first of its kind skateboarding channel ETN.
