British actress Sophie Turner made her professional acting debut in Game of Thrones. The fantasy show is based upon George R. R. Martin's fantasy novel A Song of Ice and Fire. As Sansa Stark, a main character since the beginning of the series, Sophie found international fame and critical acclaim besides a number of recognitions like nominations for Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series and a Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Supporting Young Actress in a TV Series. The stunningly talented and beautiful star has also acted in the 2013 British drama television film The Thirteenth Tale, an version of Diane Setterfield's gothic book published in 2006. Another Me (2013), the British-Spanish feature film that was also starred in by Sophie Turner. Barely Lethal (2015) which was released in 2015, an American action comedy directed by Kyle Newman, was also starring as Sophie. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), a superhero film that is based on Marvel Comics' X-Men characters, was also filmed. Sophie Turner has also contributed her voice to audiobooks and has hosted a mini documentary series about the effects of social media on people across the globe.
