Tanya Roberts

 Tanya Roberts, the younger daughter of an American pen salesman from Judaism (Oscar Blum) and a mother from England (Dorothy Smith) was born in Manhattan in 1949. She was raised in Scarsdale and Greenburgh in Westchester County. Tanya dropped out of high school and got married. She hitchhiked all over the nation until her mother in law annulled her wedding. While waiting for the latest film, she was introduced to Barry Roberts, a psychology student. A few months later she proposed to him in a subway station, and they got married. She trained in acting under Lee Strasberg and Uta Hagen. In her early days in New York, she supported herself as an Arthur Murray dance instructor and by modeling. She appeared in off-Broadway productions such as "Picnic" and "Antigone" and also in commercials on television for Ultra Brite, Clairol and Cool Ray sunglasses.In 1977, Tanya and her husbandwho was then a scriptwriter -- moved to Hollywood. Her first TV appearances were in Pleasure Cove (1979), Zuma Beach (78), and Waikiki (80). Her film debut was in The Last Victim (1976). After appearing in a couple of small films, her biggest breakthrough was when Charlie's Angels' final season ended. She was selected as the last Angel and included on the cover of People magazine (02/09/1981). The media attention
