Lauren German

 Lauren Christine German is an American actress from America. Her first role of note was in the 2002 film starring teen romance A Walk to Remember. Her next film was horror films The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003, Part II) and Hostel: Part III (2007). German was a part of two seasons on CBS's police drama Hawaii Five-0. From 2011 until 2012, she played DHS agent Lori Weston. In the second season, she was the lead character in Chicago Fire as Leslie Shay. German was born in Huntington Beach, California. Her father Richard German, a vascular surgeon is her paternal grandfather. Her maternal grandfather, James German, was Dutch; born in Amsterdam in 1909. He immigrated with his family to the United States from the Netherlands when he was an child.The rest of Lauren's family is English.She went to Los Alamitos High School and Orange County High School of the Arts and later enrolled at the University of Southern California, in which she studied anthropology. German's first work was on stage as a character in Peter Pan and Oliver. She made her film debut in the romantic comedy Down to You, where she played a minor role as a love-struck woman. German appeared in a pictorial for Maxim magazine's January 2002 issue. She was ranked as number 47 in Maxim's "Hot 100 of 2002" list.
