Frances Rose McIver, a New Zealand actress, was born 10 October 1988. She played Olivia "Liv" Moore on The CW supernatural comedy-drama series iZombie (2015-2019) as well as the role of Summer Landsdown, the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers RPM (2009). She was also the part of Amber Moore in the romantic comedy A Christmas Prince (2017) as well as the sequels The Royal Wedding (2018) and The Royal Baby (2019). McIver started her career in New Zealand with guest appearances in shows like Xena, Warrior Princess, Legend of the Seeker, and Hercules The Legendary Journeys. Her roles included recurring roles in the Showtime period drama Masters of Sex (2013-14), and the ABC fantasy adventure drama Once Upon a Time (2013)-2017. She is currently starring in the CBS supernatural sitcom Ghosts (2021-preseMcIver made her debut film appearance in the period drama The Piano (1993). Since then, she has appeared in the drama The Lovely Bones (2008) and the horror comedy Predicament (2010) and the sports thriller Blinder (2013). In 2013, she was also in the romantic comedy Petals on the Wind (2014). McIver was born in Auckland, and raised in Titirangi with her father John George Whitfield McIver (b. 1951), a photographer as well as Ann "Annie" the actress's mother (nee Coney), an art teacher. The house in which she was born, still houses her parents. She has an older brother, Paul McIver, who is a musician and former actor. She was a jazz and ballet until she reached thirteen.McIver attended Avondale College and was a prefect during her final year. She graduated in 2006.She studied at the University of Auckland, and majored in Psychology and Linguistics, but did not finish her degree. Between acting gigs she also worked as an infant sitter and was employed part-time at importing bananas for Fair Trade. She participated in their "All Good Bananas" campaign as the voice of the person's conscience
