Colin Kaepernick

Colin Rand Kaepernick, an American professional football player. He was a keen fan of football, basketball and baseball as a child. He has had tremendous success in every one of the important American sports. He started playing football at eight, having been accepted into a youth football league as a defensive player and punter. The following year, he became the team's quarterback, and threw his first pass to score an extended touchdown. He was also included in his team for baseball in high school as a pitcher that could throw 94-miles-per-hour fastballs. He coached his basketball team to winning the state championship playoff. Despite achieving most of his high school achievements in baseball, Kaepernick was adamant about playing football at college. He was a student at the University of Nevada, Reno and joined the Nevada Wolf Pack football program. The 49ers of San Francisco drafted him to be their backup quarterback. At the age of 25, he played a key role in the 49ers reaching the NFC championship. In 2016, he was criticized and praised for protesting against the oppression of white Americans who aren't white.
