Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actor and singer. She was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is Nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talent for entertainment early on. She auditioned for her first role in Raggedy Ann, and was awarded it. Bell was 13 when she had her mother introduce her to an agent. She was soon offered a role on television commercials and newspaper advertisements. Bell also attended private acting classes.
