Eva Gabor

 Eva Gabor was the daughter of Jolie Gabor (nee Janka Tilleman), and Vilmos Gabor, a soldier. Her siblings who were older than her were Magda Gabor, an actress, and Zsa Zsa Gabor, who was an socialite and actress. Both of her parents came of Jewish families. Acting in the 1930s and 1940s, she relocated to Hollywood, California. Her mother was able to escape Nazi-controlled Budapest in 1940 and then settled in the U.S.Eva was featured in films and on Broadway during the 1950s as well as in numerous "A"-movies, including The Last Time I Saw Paris (1954), starring Elizabeth Taylor, and Artists and Models (1955), that featured Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.In 1953, she was given her own talk show on TV, The Eva Gabor Show (1953). The actress appeared in films and on television throughout the 1950s and 1960s. A single episode of Justice (1954) was a starring role for her as well as her appearance on What's My Line? (1950) as the "mystery challenger". Her films during the period included the remake of My Man Godfrey (1957), Gigi (1958) and It Started with a Kiss (1959).However she will be remembered as Lisa Douglas, the socialite turned farm wife on the film Green Acres (1965) with co-star Eddie Albert playing her attorney husband Oliver Wendell Douglas. Eva Gabor died at age at 76 of respiratory failure and pneumonia on July 4, 1995, in Los Angeles, California.
