 Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian writer and actor. Her character as 'Kate Austen in the hit TV series 'Lost' what she is best remembered. It was among the most popular programs on the 'ABC' network. Lilly performed as the female lead. She won the 'Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance in the show. She has also been a part of films such as "The Hurt Locker, "Real Steel," as well as 'The Hobbit' series. Lilly is among the few actors in Hollywood who had no idea of becoming an actor. Lilly was raised in a Christian family and was always interested in humanitarian work and charity. As a teenager Lilly was involved in a mission trip to Philippines. An accidental encounter with a modelling agency paved the way to her entry into the field of modelling, and acting. She took up the modelling jobas a way to make money to fund her studies at university. Although she has been awarded awards for her performance, Lilly maintains that attaining fame was not her primary decision. Lilly is also an avid reader and writer. Lilly has authored the book for children 'The Squickerwonkers.' She is actively involved with different 'NGO's' and is also pursuing her acting career. Lilly is set to appear in the upcoming 'Avengers' film, which is produced by Marvel Studios.'
