Jack Black is an American actor-producer known for his comic roles in films, such as "School of Rock, "Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny,' and 'Gulliver's Adventures.' The voice actor roles he played in the Kung Fu Panda franchise are well-known. He was born in Culver City, and attended Culver City High School' and the 'Poseidon School.' He appeared in commercials as an teen. Then, he went to "Crossroads High Schools for Science and Arts' in Santa Monica where he discovered his talents in acting. He continued to appear in television movies and series including "Life Goes on, 'Northern Exposure,' 'The Innocent,' 'The Show,' The X-Files. He was also in 'Picket Fences' and the 'Life Goes on' series. In 1992, he was in Bob Roberts' first movie role. He got his breakthrough role in the movie High Fidelity.' He was in many lead parts in films like 'Shallow Hal', 'Nacho LIbre'and 'Tenacious D In The Pick of Destiny' and 'Year One' and 'Gulliver's Travels. He has voiced characters in animated films and also performed. The role he played in the film "School of Rock" won him critical acclaim. Black received the 'Best Vocal award' for his performance as 'Eddie Riggs' in the game of the same name "Brutal Legend..' A musician as well, Jack Black is the leader of the group "Tenacious D,' which was founded by him and Kyle Gass.
