American streamer and professional Esports player Tyler Blevins, more commonly identified by his online name "Ninja" was born in Grayslake, Illinois, to Chuck and Cynthia Blevins. He was in the movie A Gamer's Life (2016) as himself.It was his father, Chuck Blevins who introduced him to video games. Ninja started playing Halo 3 professionally in 2009. He was a part of various teams, including Cloud9, Renegades, Team Liquid and Luminosity Gaming.Ninja started streaming in 2011, firstly through Justin.tv, then moved to Twitch.tv. When Steam launched its early-access program, he started playing H1Z1. He then moved to PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds after it was also included in Steam's early access program. He joined Luminosity Gaming in 2017 first as a Halo player, then H1Z1, and later shifting to PUBG and won the PUBG Gamescom Invitational in the 3rd Person Squads classification. The number of viewers he was able to watch grew as Fortnite became more popular. In September 2017, he was a Halo player, later moving to H1Z1, and then to PUBG Gamescom Invitational in the 3rd Person Squads classification. This number increased by 250 percent in just six months. In March 2018, Ninja set the Twitch.tv record for the most watched single stream while playing Fortnite following a game with Drake, Travis Scott, and JuJu Smith-Schuster. He broke his own viewing record in April of 2018 during Ninja Vegas 2018, where he had an audience of 667,000.
