Jessica Chastain

 Jessica Michelle Chastain was conceived in Sacramento, California. She was raised by an upper middle class family living in Northern California. Jerri Chastain is her mom and a vegan chef. Her stepfather is a firefighter. When she was nine, she began to explore dancing and joined a dance company at thirteen. She started performing in Shakespearean productions all over the Bay area.An actor from a production of "Romeo & Juliet" encouraged her to audition for Juilliard as a drama major. She joined "Crew 32" thanks to a scholarship from one of the school's famous alumni Robin Williams.In her final year at Juilliard she was offered a hold contract with the TV writer/producer John Wells and she eventually was a part of three of his television productions. Jessica is still involved in the theatre industry and has appeared in "The Cherry Orchard" The "Rodney's Wife""Salome," "Rodney's Wife" as well as "Othello". She spends her time in New York and Los Angeles and is employed in theater, film and TV.
