Kristen Stewart is best known for her performance in The Twilight (2008) Saga as Isabella "Bella", Swan. But she has been an actor since childhood in Los Angeles. Her parents, John Stewart and Jules Stewart each work in television and film. Kristen is a sister to Cameron Stewart, and her adopted brothers Dana Stewart and Taylor. Kristen is English, Scottish and Ashkenazi Jewish. She first appeared on television when she was eight years old, when a talent scout was impressed by her acting in a kindergarten production. Her first major part was when she was chosen to play Sam Jennings in The Safety of Objects (2001). Soon after that she was cast as Jodie Foster in the cult drama, Panic Room (2002) and was nominated for an Young Artist Award.Praised for her Panic Room performance, she went on to join the team of Cold Creek Manor (2003) as the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone. Although the film didn't make it to the top of the box office, she was awarded another nomination for an Young Artist Award. After appearing in a couple of films and an upcoming Showtime film named Speak (2004), Stewart was cast as the character of a young singer who lives in a commune Penn's Into the Wild (2007) which was a highly acclaimed biopic. The character was nominated to win a Young Artist Award, and Stewart was awarded the award. She also appeared in Mary Stuart Masterson's The Cake Eaters (2007) the in the same year.
