Kyra Sedgwick

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick was born on August 19, 1965 in New York City, to Patricia (Rosenwald), a family member and speech therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother came from a middle-class German Jewish family, and her father was from a wealthy Massachusetts family with English descent, and had many famous ancestors (including judge Theodore Sedgwick and educator Endicott Peabody).Sedgwick went to private school. She made her professional acting debut at the age of 16 on the soap opera Another World (1964). Kyra graduated from USC and has pursued a career in stage, screen, and on television. Kyra is an actor due to the fact that it helps her to be kind and compassionate to others. As "Donna" Tom Cruise's high school sweetheart, her first exposure to stardom was in Born on the Fourth of July (1989). Two of her roles led to Golden Globe nominations: Miss Rose White (1992) and Something to Talk About (1995). Kevin Bacon was her husband. They met while she was in the lead role in Lemon Sky (1988). They have two children.
