Melanie Lynskey

 Melanie Jayne Lynskey, a New Zealand actress, was born on the 16th of May in 1977. She is known for her portrayals of complex women and her proficiency in American dialects, she appears predominantly in independent films. Lynskey has been awarded two Critics Choice Awards, she has also won a Gracie Award, a New Zealand Film Award as well as a Hollywood Film Award, and a Sundance Special Jury Award, as well as Gotham Award, Golden Nymph Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and Primetime Emmy Award nominations.Lynskey made her debut in film, playing an adolescent murderess in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994). After moving to the United States, Lynskey built an acting career as a support actor in several films with a large and small budget like Ever After (1998) and Detroit Rock City, But... (both 1999), Abandon, Sweet Home Alabama, (both 2002) Shattered Glass (2003), Flags of Our Fathers (2006).
