Stana Katic

 Stana was born on April 26, 1978 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to parents who were immigrants and Serbs from Croatia. She was raised in Hamilton and also in Aurora, Illinois. She graduated from West Aurora High School in 1996. She then attended the University of Toronto and then at the DePaul University Goodman School of Drama in Chicago, where she was studying acting from 2000 to 2002. She studied acting at Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school. She has four brothers and one sister.Stana Katic recently starred in and co-produced Amazon's series Absentia.Katic's feature film credits include: CBGB, about the punk rock club in NYC; Big Sur, which is based on the Jack Kerouac novel; Frank Miller's film The Spirit; Robert Benton's Feast of Love; The Double with Richard Gere; and Bond installment Quantum of Solace with Daniel Craig.For eight seasons, Katic starred as Kate Beckett on Castle. The popular ABC show drew more than 10 million viewers per week and was one of the top five syndicated shows that came from Spain, France and the U
