American former professional boxer Michael Gerard Tyson was born June 30, 1966. Tyson was a fighter in the ring from 1985 until 2005. Nicknamed "Iron Mike" and "Kid Dynamite" in his early career, and later known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet", Tyson is widely regarded as one of the most renowned heavyweight boxers of all time. He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990.Tyson was able to win his first 19 professional fights via knockout, 12 of them in the opening round. Tyson was 20 yearsold, 4 months, and 22 days old at the time the first time he took home a heavyweight title holds the record as the youngest boxer ever to win a title. Tyson was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the only heavyweight to unify them in succession. Tyson was crowned the champion of the line in 1990, when he defeated Michael Spinks within 91 seconds. In one of the biggest surprises of the past, Tyson was defeated by Buster Douglas in 1990.
