Peter Dinklage is an American actor. He has been in many movies and plays since his role as The Station Agent (2003). Dinklage's character of Tyrion Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones (2011) has been his since 2011. For this he won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Drama Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for a Series, Miniseries or Television Film in 2011.Peter Hayden Dinklage was born in Morristown, New Jersey, to Diane (Hayden), an elementary school teacher as well as John Carl Dinklage, an insurance salesman. He is of German, Irish, and English descent. He earned his degree in drama from Bennington College in 1991 and began his professional career.
