Paul McCartney

 Sir Paul McCartney is a key persona in the world of contemporary music as a singer, composer poet, writer, artist as well as a humanitarian, entrepreneur and holder of more than 3 thousand copyrights. He is listed in the "Guinness Book of World Records" for most records sold, the most #1s (shared) and the most popular song, "Yesterday," largest paying audience for a solo performance (350,000+ people, in 1989 in Brazil). He is regarded as one of the most entertaining entertainers of all time. James "Jim" McCartney was his father. He worked as a cotton merchant and a pianist who was part of the Jim Mac's Jazz Band, Liverpool. He is of Irish as well as English roots. Young McCartney was raised in a non-denominational home. He studied music and art and enjoyed a blissful childhood with one younger brother, Michael. He was 11 years old when passing the 11+ test in Liverpool. This exam is also known as "the scholarship". He attended the school from 1953 until 1960, and was awarded an A-level in English and Art.
