Steven Tyler

Steven Tyler is the lead singer of the Aerosmith, a rock band that he had helped to form in 1970. He is a versatile vocalist and his high-pitched screams earned him the name "Demon of Screamin." The gifted musician also plays harmonica piano, and other percussion instruments. He is a highly energetic performer who can often perform acrobatics at the shows and concerts he hosts. The costumes he wears are striking and bright and he wears colorful, vibrant clothes. Born into a family of music lovers--his father was a classical musician as well as a music teacher--and music was an inherent part of his life from the very beginning. He was a musician from a young age and had no doubt about the career path he would choose. He met Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton together, who formed Aerosmith, a rock group. Aerosmith. The band achieved mainstream success in the mid-1970s after a string of smashes. However, the band's success was eclipsed by the members' drug problems. The band became notorious for their addiction to drugs and Tyler's addiction becoming the most problematic. The group regained prominence after Tyler's rehabilitation.
