Virginia Madsen is an American actor and producer most well-known for her roles in the films 'Sideways' and Candyman.' Virginia Madsen is the daughter of Elaine Madsen, an Emmy Award-winning writer and filmmaker and her older sister actress, poet, and writer Michael Madsen. She made her film debut with comedy American Comedy 'Class. She was then cast in the part as the princess Irulan in David Lynch's American epic sci-fi film Dune. Her role as 'Lisa Taylor,' a romantic film about American love, earned her mainstream fame. Her subsequent performances were acclaimed in 'Candyman' and in 'Sideways.' This film earned her the 'Academy Award, and a Golden Globe nomination. The Rainmaker, Joy, and Red Riding Hood are just some of the notable movies which were based on Virginia.
