Will Ferrell

 John William Ferrell was born in Irvine, California, to Betty Kay (Overman), teacher, and Roy Lee Ferrell, Jr. who was a musician. His parents were originally from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.A graduate of the University of Southern California, Ferrell became interested in performing while a student at University High School in Irvine where he performed the school's daily announcements on the public address system using disguised voices. He began his career as a part of The Groundlings, a Los Angeles comedy/improvisation group The Groundlings in which co-stars Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph and former Saturday Night Live (1975) repertory actors like Laraine Newman, Jon Lovitz and Phil Hartman started their careers. There that he was introduced to Chris Kattan and the two became good friends and both went on to Saturday Night Live (1975) later. During his time with The Groundlings, he has appeared on a variety of television shows including Strangers with Candy (1999), Grace Under Fire (93) and Living Single (1993). Will is also the voice of the legless, armless dad from "The Oblongs" cartoon family.
