Keesha Ulricka Sharp (nee Fleth; born on June 9, 1973)is an American actress and director of film/television. Prior to her appearance as Monica Charles Brooks on UPN/The CW's comedy show Girlfriends (2002-08), Sharp began her career in TV dramas. She was nominated for the NAACP Image Award, which is awarded to the best supporting actress in the category of Comedy Series. (2007), and from 2010 until 2013, she co-starred in the TBS sitcom, Are We There Yet?. She played Dale Cochran in The People v. O. J. Simpson - American Crime Story, an FX drama series. From 2016 to 2019, Sharp starred as Trish Murtaugh in the Fox show, a police comedy and drama series, Lethal Weapon, for which she received NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series nomination.Sharp was born in Rochester, New York. Sharp started her career in the theatre after she completed her cum laude degree at The Boston Conservatory. Sharp performed in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and was also featured Off Broadway in Michael Bradford’s Living in the Wind. She also starred in eight roles in the comedy that was interactive Eat the Runt. Other stage performances include Abyssinia and Thunder Knockin and Jitney. She also appeared in The Producers, Big Street and Suburb as well as Joe Turner's Come and Gone. On TV, she guest was in Welcome to New York, Third Watch, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit prior to moving to Los Angeles.
