Keesha Ulricka Sharp (nee Fleth, born June 9th, 1973)is an American actress and director of film/television. Before playing Monica Charles Brooks on UPN/The CW comedy show Girlfriends (2002-08), Sharp began her television career in dramas. She was nominated for the NAACP Image Award, which is for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the field of a Comedy Series. (2007) as well as between 2010 and 2013, she was a co-star in the TBS sitcom Is We There Yet?. In 2016, she played Dale Cochran, the wife of Johnnie Cochran, in the FX drama series anthology, The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. From 2016 to 2019, Sharp starred as Trish Murtaugh in the Fox show, a police comedy and drama series, Lethal Weapon, for which she was awarded the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series nomination.Sharp was born in Rochester, New York. After graduating from cum laude at The Boston Conservatory, Sharp decided to pursue a career on the stage. Sharp was a part of the Broadway National Tour of Carousel as well as appearing Off-Broadway in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. Sharp also played eight characters in the interactive comedy Eat the Runt. Other stage performances include Abyssinia and Thunder Knockin and Jitney. She was also a part in The Producers, Big Street and Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, she was the guest in Welcome to New York, Third Watch and Law & Order Special Victims Unit.
