Elizabeth Montgomery

 Elizabeth Montgomery was born in the show business. Her parents were Robert Montgomery, a screen actor and Elizabeth Allen, a Broadway actress. Elizabeth was a student at the Academy of Dramatic Arts and graduated from the Spence School, New York City. After three years of intense training, she was able to make her TV debut on Robert Montgomery Presents (1950) the drama of her father's 1950s series. She also appeared on more than 200 live shows in the decade following. One of her first remarks was "I think you could call me"a TV-baby." Her most memorable films from her early days included The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell (1955) and Johnny Cool (1963). Her most famous role is her character Samantha as the witch on the top-rated sitcom on ABC, Bewitched (1964). Her family members, including her mother Endora Moorehead (Agnes Moorehead) and her cousin who resembles Serena Montgomery (in dark-colored wig) as well as her husband Darrin (first Dick York, later Dick Sargent), tried to thwart her supernatural powers however she frequently used her magic tricks to solve problems. Samantha noticed a tingle in her nose , as it was if she had been experiencing witchcraft. After the conclusion of her debut TV show, she started creating films for TV. A number of them were critically acclaimed, including A Case of Rape (1974), The Legend of Lizzie Borden (75), Black Widow Murders - The Blanche Taylor Moore Story (1993). The Panama Deception (1992) which was nominated for an Academy Award in 1993, was recorded by her. While her death was reported in reference books her family members declared that she was 57 at the time of her death. The cause of her death was not revealed by her family.
