Jimmy Fallon was born in 1974 in Brooklyn, New York, to Gloria (Feeley) and Jimmy Fallon. He is of Irish, German, and Norwegian descent. He was born in Saugerties, New York, which is located in upstate New York. He has appeared in the form of stand-up, impressions and characters from all over the country in the most prestigious comedy clubs such as Caroline's Comedy Club (in New York City) and the Improv (in Los Angeles). The Groundlings in Los Angeles which is a school for teaching acting, is where he also learned to study. Jimmy joined the cast of Saturday Night Live (1975) as a guest performer on September 28, 1998. Jimmy is regarded as the greatest SNL actor since Phil Hartman and is a famous name among SNL viewers. The comedian returned to New York City in 1998 to apply for a slot on SNL. Fallon's comedy impressions were showcased on SNL. He often portrayed celebrities and created memorable characters , such as Jarret the stoner, and Nick Burns, a patronizing computer expert. Fallon was host of SNL's weekly update segment "Weekend Update" along with Tina Fey for the last four seasons. In the show, the two starred as coanchors, mixing humor with current news stories.
