Jordan Belfort

 Jordan Ross Belfort, an American motivational speaker and writer was a stockbroker in the past. Belfort, who was born in New York, has the ability to be a masterful salesperson from an early age. He started his career as a stockbroker and made millions of dollars through illegal methods through 'Stratton Oakmont the investment firm which he manages. Jordan was unable to withstand the pressure of authorities in law enforcement and admitted to bribing investors as well as other charges relating to manipulating the stock market. Jordan was also found guilty of operating a boiler room as part of the "penny stock scheme." He was sentenced to 22 months of prison. He was a witness against his coworkers and also against his partners in the scheme of fraud. Belfort has since altered his methods and is now delivering motivational speeches. His initial speeches were focused on ethics and motivation. The focus later changed on selling and entrepreneurship. He stresses the importance of ethics when managing a successful business and the best way to avoid making the same mistakes that he did when he was an agent.
