Her birthplace was La Jolla in California, and grew up in Washington. As a youngster, she dreamed of being an actress. McLellan was South Kitsap's High School's homecoming queen. Following her graduation, McLellan began her television acting career. She is an actress and singer-songwriter. She has also performed in various cabaret performances.
